About Mark

Mark commenced his career with the Royal Australian Navy as a member of the engineering branch completing several overseas deployments operating and maintaining steam powered surface platforms. Mark was awarded the Australian Defence Medal in 2009. He later gained experience in the opal mining industry before returning to Sydney in 2000.

In 2005 Mark completed a master’s degree in Maintenance Management and Reliability Engineering via distance education, through Monash University, Gippsland Victoria.

He has worked as a Regional Facilities Manager in the Retail and Commercial sectors and as a Regional Hotel Chief Engineer in four and five-star hotels. His more recent roles have included working as a Senior Consultant and Section Manager providing property asset management services, and multi-discipline technical due diligence reporting and condition assessments. He has completed numerous projects and reports covering premium and A grade commercial buildings, warehouses and industrial properties, hotels, aged care & health facilities and regional airports.

Mark has also worked as a Business Development Manager with a mechanical services contractor winning a number of upgrade works including a smoke management system upgrade at Customs House and replacement of the thermal plant at Boyd Charles Swimming Pool in Sydney.

He was recently working as a Solutions Architect developing life cycle cost analysis models for multiple engineering disciplines supporting Public Private Partnership bids and long term asset management of key private and public facilities in Australia and New Zealand.

Mark is now the director of Circulus Life Cycle Engineering offering Technical Due Diligence Reporting, 10 Year Capital Works Budget Estimates and Condition Assessments for Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Fire Building Services for Commercial, Industrial, Aged Care, Health and the Hotel and Leisure sectors.
